A Day Dreaming Story

A Day Dreaming Story

Sueños by Marin

This story is about dreams.

The ones that make your mind drift while you’re wide awake.

The ones that fill your present with imagination.

“Certainly she was losing consciousness of outer things. And as she lost consciousness of outer things, and her name, her personality, her appearance. […] her mind kept throwing up from its depths, scenes, and names, and sayings, and memories and ideas”
– Virginia Woolf, “To The Lighthouse”, 1927

Welcome to the first edition of Music Editorials, a series of music sets elaborated for our Good Vibe tribe, launching on every full moon.

Curated by our beloved Marin, Sueños is an invitation to daydreaming, to visualise through music.

By definition, a daydream is a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one’s attention from the present, and it is what you will experience throughout this ’55 min set.

According to The Virtues of Day Dreaming (The New Yorker, 2012) “those who are more prone to mind-wandering tend to be better at generating new ideas.” So daydreaming is not only an enjoyable experience, it improves our creativity, broadening our horizons.

Hence, there would be no better time than now to launch this Reverie, filled with enchanting sounds for a pleasant obliviousness. Let the music carry your thoughts and shape new visions.
